What is the Delivery capability?
The Delivery capability covers the core procurement activities from category management, strategic and operational sourcing, supplier management, content strategy definition, and execution. The Delivery capability comprises the same value chain or having commonality. The communities are key enablers of strong category expertise while allowing flexibility in the procurement delivery response to the evolving needs of our customers.
The organization you will be in is Global Procurement - Digital & Tech in the domain of Digital Health, and you will be reporting to the Delivery Lead of Digital Health. This team aims to support the development of Digital Products in many cases in a regulated environment (Software as Medical Device). The main categories are Software development - validation with a focus on managed services, maintaining and managing these applications, data & Analytics treatment, support to implementations at Roche customers, and eventually licensing subscription models.
Your key responsibilities include:
Category subject matter expert conducting vendor market and internal analysis to develop strategies and preferred vendor program with cost analysis.
Run E2E sourcing process mainly for strategic outsourcing, including vendor pre-selection, RfP (Request for Proposal) / Bidding process, negotiating, contracting.
Influence the Delivery Managers to prioritize the Preferred project portfolio and ensure sharing best practices.
Manage suppliers and internal stakeholder relationships that contribute to the aim of the GP organization.
Deliver on customer priorities and opportunities, while enabling Roche to meet its societal and environmental commitments.
Deal with administrative tasks necessary to develop and maintain our systems and processes.
You have dealt with global and local vendors in the software development category in more than one country.
Skills
You hold a university degree, preferably in business, with 10+ years of experience in global category management, strategic sourcing, complex procurement contracting, and operational category efficiency projects. You are capable of driving complex conversations with senior management with strong knowledge in the IT ground.
In addition, you have:
Solid leadership experience with strong influential skills.
Proven data-driven decision-making.
Extensive IT sourcing, IT procurement and/or IT vendor management experience.
Executive presence and comfort interacting with internal stakeholders and external vendor senior leadership.
Demonstrated project management and negotiation skills.
Business-level fluency in English.
