As a Senior Controllership Supervisor at Honeywell, you will hold a leadership position accountable for managing a team of professionals, overseeing comprehensive accounting control and compliance, and driving process design initiatives. You will play a crucial role in facilitating robust financial reporting, enhancing business partnerships, and leading process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Accounting, Control, and Compliance: Own, manage, and coordinate end-to-end accounting and control processes, including period-end closing activities, and deliver a standard month-end close timetable ensuring compliance across entities.
Approve Journal & Account Recon as needed.
Ensure entity and process compliance with US GAAP and Honeywell policies, understanding technical accounting aspects such as project accounting, revenue and cost accounting, assessment and distributions, and COPA cycles.
Ensure meaningful balance sheet reviews with quality commentary and accuracy & timeliness of quarterly variance schedules. Leverage standard analytics tools to identify issues or anomalies.
Drive process/control compliance, take action, and report deficient or overlooked controls, promptly notifying relevant stakeholders.
Review critical/aged balance sheet account reconciliations to determine exposure and drive closure of aged items. Periodically review documentation, complete timely and escalate to support audit (Internal/external) requirements. Ensure SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) compliance.
Business Partnership and Process Improvement: Maintain transparent accounting/process practices, ensuring excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Review financial reports and other related variables, review processes and process outputs.
Identify process improvement opportunities and work with the transformation leader to execute them.
Partner with the business on new initiatives, lead projects, manage ad-hoc queries from business and other stakeholders, and provide support to Senior Analysts when needed.
Provide financial reports, analysis, explanations, and advice based on knowledge of financial information, relevant GAAP & supporting SAP systems to SBU/auditors.
Must Have: 3 + Years of experience in Accounting or Manufacturing Accounting.
