Senior Category Manager - Toys/Media
Job Summary:
We're seeking an adaptable and collaborative Senior Category Manager to join our Toys/Media team. In this role, you'll drive growth by managing category performance, improving customer experience, and influencing cross-functional teams. You'll own the category's profit and loss (P&L) statement and key performance indicators while working on innovative programs to enhance both customer and seller experiences.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Manage category P&L and drive growth through selection, pricing, and convenience to customers.
Develop and execute strategies to improve customer and seller experiences.
Collaborate with internal teams (Account Management, Selection, Product, Marketing) to achieve business objectives.
Analyze data to make informed business decisions and influence stakeholders.
Present regular updates to leadership on category performance and initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience in account management, project management, program management, or buying.
Proven track record of using data to drive business decisions.
Experience in business analysis and P&L management.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
Experience in the toys or media industry.
Proficiency in SQL or other data analysis tools.
Track record of successfully launching new products or programs.
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

About the Role:
The A.in Toys/Media team is looking for an entrepreneurial Senior Category Manager, to help us deliver our ambitious growth objective. As Sr. CM, the candidate will have independent ownership of a category, will manage the category topline and inputs directly and influence programs to drive core inputs. S/he will also influence external (Seller) and internal (Acc Mgt, Selection, Product and Marketing) teams to drive business growth. The mandate will also give the opportunity to the Sr.CM to work on SME areas across Media categories and will require muscle around working with mechanisms to influence leaders across teams and drive execution with rigor.
We expect the Sr. CM to be a passionate customer and category advocate within Amazon, with proven execution skills, stakeholder management, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task. The candidate must be an effective leader and communicator to be able to work with many internal cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with good customer and business understanding and demonstrate a high level of ownership, bias for action and customer obsession. Our growth charter has predefined updates cadence with Amazon India leadership and the candidate will be expected to own reports for her mandate with these stakeholders.
