Your contribution: Clarios is seeking a Specialist IT Services (m/f/d) to provide technical support in alignment with Clarios policies and procedures. In this role, you will support, develop, and implement IT systems according to business requirements and IT strategies, adhering to Clarios standards.
We are looking for a candidate with an eagerness to develop and grow, who is continuously learning and can grow into the role of IT Lead for our production plants in Spain.
This position demands a strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to Clarios infrastructure, natural accountability, and the capability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. As an expected future lead, you will be responsible for ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality of IT services in EMEA, and for the timely and quality execution of IT Operations projects. This includes monitoring and managing interfaces between internal and external service providers, business units, and global IT teams, selection and management of external resources (consultants), management and development of external resources (functional and disciplinary). The role is based in our Madrid Office (Spain).
Responsibilities/ What you will do Functional You develop, evaluate, and implement systems in cooperation with the corresponding business partners. You install or direct the installation of IT hardware and software, provide technical problem investigation/resolution services and design, implement and tune services for IT systems. You will provide direction and consulting on proper IT solutions to users' requirements and participate in the development of department standards and quality reviews. You evaluate existing documentation for supported platforms and core technologies, identify gaps and create missing documentation. Plant System You are responsible for the execution of 2nd level OS support. You will support plant technical infrastructure and core technologies including handheld devices, printers, backups, and shop floor manufacturing software that interfaces to hardware infrastructure. You configure, test, and deploy plant technical infrastructure such as Windows Servers, handheld devices, printers, backup devices, virtual infrastructure and SAN storage. End User Client Computing: 1st and 2nd level technical IT-support. Implementation and operation of the IT infrastructure in EMEA. Connectivity You work together with network team to support LAN, WLAN, WAN services on EMEA level. You evaluate degraded services and coordinate with internal and external service providers and verify results. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: What we look for Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology or a related field for Server Administration & Network Administration/ Apprenticeship and Trainee-Program for Client Computing Services. Solid years of IT working experience, preferably within a production company. Proven competency in IT Infrastructure. Strong communication, project management, teaming, and leadership skills. Ability to work creatively and proactively. Ability to collaborate with different business functions within an international matrix organization. Exceptional proficiency in working with Microsoft, VMWare, MS Windows Server OS; Scripting (Windows Environment), Database (especially MS SQL), Basic Infrastructure (DNS, DHCP, etc.), Network (segmentation, IP4, VLAN, etc.), Storage (SAN, FC, etc.), Backup (Veritas), Security and project management tools. Fluent in both written and spoken Spanish and English. Willingness to travel – up to 20%.
