What you'll do The Role's purpose is DOCSIS software engineering design and development on Consumer home device (CPEs, WiFi extenders and other consumer products in the TelCo area).
This includes: Perform routers SOFTWARE design (mainly on DOCSIS, nice to have FTTH, VOIP, IPTV, WiFi, ADSL, VDSL etc.)
Support Testing Team in configuring and maintaining test environment for the integration and the fw validation of CPE's/Modems/Routers Engage with hardware and software vendors for issues resolution Evaluation of requirements and specifications, with deep understanding of applicable standards and directives Interface and collaborate with design and SW engineering for the development of new products Collaborate actively with the Software team to define the operating logics of the CPEs Support in creating and maintaining test and configuration related documentation for new and existing setups Development, documentation, qualification and engineering of new CPEs Customization, maintenance and enhancement of existing SOFTWARE architecture Specification of software and system functionalities, test procedures compliant to VF internal guidelines Verification validation of expected functionality, configurations and security controls implementation according to internal and international standards Conduct requirements analysis with PS, Marketing, Cops and other departments Analyse Lab or Field trials and result analysis in the CPE homologation process Who you are These are the main requirements: Excellent knowledge in the following technology areas: DOCSIS and WiFi Nice to have GPON/XGSPON, DSL, Bluetooth, IoT with vendors knowledge Experience in the SW development and production of CPE's, WiFi extenders and/or other consumer products in the TelCo area Knowledge of configuring network testbeds and setups to test routers and related LAN technologies Familiarity with OSI model, TCP/IP, IEEE 802.11xx, DNS, IPTV, IGMP, firewalls, Linux, TR-069, TR-104, VoIP English language (Fluent oral and written) What's in it for you We want you to feel happy and fulfilled at work, without compromising the other things in life that matter to you.
