The Spanish Payroll Specialist is responsible for the entire payroll cycle. Must guarantee total compliance with local regulations in labour, social security, and tax matters. Strongly oriented to high-quality data and results.The Ideal candidate will possess accurate communication with clients and with the internal operations team should be performed according to the internal procedures.Please submit your CV in English.Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include:Manage all payroll activities in line with the monthly payroll calendar and submit the payroll figures monthly. Ensure the payrolls comply with the Spanish legislation and statutory requirements. Activities involved:Collaborate with the Operation team in the validation of payroll inputs to ensure that sufficient information is provided by the client.Ability to reconcile pre-processing reports to ensure the accuracy of information before processing payroll. Validate the data inputs and ensure are in line with Spanish legislation.Research discrepancies in payroll information and/or documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures before processing. Validation of the payroll outputs.Maintain payroll information, files, and records to provide up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.Analyze payroll-related information to ensure accurate distribution of funds and payroll.Support any parallel runs if testing is needed on a new requirement.Prepare the monthly payroll reports and upload them to the CP platform.Manage communication to Social Security (registration, terminations, amendments notifications, sick leaves, and maternity/paternity leaves) SILTRA, CONTRAT@, CERTIFIC@, DELTA SYSTEM…Manage the monthly Social Security contributions and resolve any possible issue that compromises monthly payments to Social Security.Manage tax activities (monthly/quarterly withholding taxes) and submission of the tax models to the AEAT (models 111, 216, 190, 296 and 345).Collaborate with the Implementation team to ensure that the hangover of new payrolls is transferred to the In-House team successfully.Collaborate with the Operation team in the validation of payroll requirements to ensure that sufficient information is provided by the client to enable set-up and configuration to be completed successfully.Attributes and Experience Required:Solid experience in payroll processing.Expert level of knowledge of local legal requirements, statutory forms, and reporting.Expert level in complex payrolls (BIK, flexible retribution, stock options/RSU, non-residents…).Strong communication and collaboration skills: English and Spanish speaking is essential.
