kencko is seeking a seasoned freelance brand copywriter to help adapt and optimize our brand and content in Spain.
Initial 15 day contract with possibility of extension.
Location Spain, Portugal, remote
Main goals
Working to tight deadlines and as an integral part of the Brand team's efforts, you will help to ensure a successful localization of the kencko brand from the US to Spain. You will play a key role in shaping our brand voice in Spanish and adapting our messaging and content for local consumers.
In your writing, we're looking for creative flair underpinned by clarity, technical precision and consistency: you will demonstrate an ability to write effective, on-brand copy that fits the medium, meets exacting word counts, and adheres to style guidelines.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the VP of Brand, and working closely with the Brand and Product teams from day to day, you will:
- Translate, adapt, edit, and proofread existing English language brand copy across multiple customer touch points such as product packaging, store display, web pages, and marketing content.
- Help to translate and adapt our brand tone of voice and copy style guidelines, building the foundations for a successful localization of the kencko brand from US to Portugal.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain effective processes and workflows
- Advise on local market expectations and consumer preferences based on your previous experience.
- Monitor brand tone of voice and ensure consistent application of our copy style guidelines across our channels.
Experience you bring
- Native fluency in Spanish (Castellano) as well as proficient professional English
- 10+ years experience in brand copywriting, preferably in a similar field (food & bev, health, nutrition, CPG)
- Proven ability to write clear and compelling copy, on a deadline and within tight character counts
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Collaborative work ethic and great communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills: accurate file naming and version management, setting and meeting deadlines, maintaining good information flow and documenting all processes centrally
