WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON? GMV is looking for a highly motivated AEROSPACEENGINEER, or equivalent, for its activities in the areas of Space Surveillanceand Tracking (SST) and Space Traffic Management (STM), including R&D tasks,software development and related engineering and operational activities. GMV isa leading company in the space sector in particular in SST and STM.
As an engineer, you will work on specific projectsrelated to Space Surveillance and Tracking with opportunities to switch teams, location,and project as GMV grows and evolves. SST and STM are becoming more and morerelevant topics in the space sector due to the need to manage the traffic ofthe population of objects orbiting the Earth. In relation to this vacancy, GMVis increasing its activities related to a wide range of functions within SSTand STM systems, such as space debris catalogue maintenance, conjunctionassessment and collision avoidance, sensor network coordinated planning, SSTsystem operations, etc.
You will be integrated in GMV's SST and STMmultidisciplinary team, taking care of SST/STM activities at European levelfrom Spain, either for the development of SST systems, for the execution ofstudies demonstrating new models or concepts of operations, or the directoperation of SST systems to provide SST services to actual SST users (satelliteO/Os, institutions).
WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM? We are looking for MSc in Aerospace Engineering graduates with backgroundand interest in orbital mechanics, flight dynamics background and programming. We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in:
