We're hiring a Space Firmware / Digital Microelectronics Engineer to be located in our Headquarters in Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid).
Main tasks and responsibilities: Work in a multidisciplinary team developing ASICs, standard ICs, and FPGA IPs for the space sector.
Architecture definition of digital integrated circuits, Systems on Chip, and FPGA IPs, feasibility analysis, and trade-offs.
Front end design and verification of digital microelectronics modules at RTL level from requirements to sign off.
Back end/physical design of digital ASICs and FPGAs (Synthesis, Static Timing Analysis, and Place Route).
Programming of processors embedded in FPGAs.
Support to validation and test of the developed ICs or IP blocks.
Architectural design of complex FW/SW development for SoC embedded in FPGAs.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Code version control and maintenance.
Required skills: University degree and/or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics.
Work experience with Matlab and/or any other high-level modeling language.
Solid basis in HDL frontend design (VHDL and/or Verilog).
Experience in back end/physical design of digital ASICs and FPGAs, including Synopsys and/or Cadence digital implementation tools.
Strong background in verification activities.
Hands-on experience in embedded processors programming.
Knowledge of computer architectures for SoC integration, particularly ARM, RISC V, and Microblaze.
Knowledge of revision control tools.
Knowledge of MIL/ECSS standards for FW/SW development.
Proficient in English.
Preferred skills: Experience with sub-micron technologies/state of the art FPGAs.
Experience in support to component testing.
Experience in reliability and radiation effects mitigation techniques.
The candidate must be eligible to work in the EU and must be able to travel to the US.
