Becoming a standalone division, Consumer Healthcare's purpose is to serve healthier, fuller lives by offering moments of relief to our Patients & Consumers in our key platforms, including Allergy, Physical & Mental Wellness, Pain, and Digestive Health. CHC does business in 133 countries; 4000 professionals work in marketing, sales, and services teams.
Global Digital Team The team is charged with accelerating the shift to precision marketing and to e-commerce sales, scaling best-in-class data-driven decision-making tools, capturing new opportunities in the digital health space and overhauling disjointed commercial systems. This team leverages both dedicated expertise internally at Sanofi and delivery and deployment partners. It builds products, runs service/outsourcing contracts, and develops centers of excellence in technology and digital.
POSITION OVERVIEW This position reports to the Head of Data Architecture & Modeling in the CHC business unit within Sanofi. A cornerstone of CHC transformation in the coming years, the Senior Data Engineer will play a key role in shaping the core data capabilities that drive critical use cases within the CHC organization. This position demonstrates advanced technical expertise, along with a thirst for knowledge and natural curiosity to enable rapid learning of the CHC business model and data infrastructure at a scale to support the growth worldwide. You will work with a diverse team of business analysts, data scientists, technical engineers, data architects, and project managers to deliver outcomes aligned with our business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, test, and implement database solutions related to optimal data pipeline architecture and infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL Server, Oracle, Sales Force, SAP, and Big Data technologies.Collaborate and enable data scientists on the team to rapidly iterate on model building and deployment.Assist with technical design and development activities for implementation of large-scale data solutions in Snowflake to support multiple use cases (transformation, reporting and analytics, data monetization, etc.).Design and develop technology and data architectures to support solutions leveraging best practices for cloud data warehouse migrations.Evaluate business value, manage the prioritization and execution of enhancements and projects, including communication to key stakeholders and coordination of work effort with partners, contractors, and the business community.Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.QUALIFICATIONS 8 years or more experience in Data Engineering.Experience working in FMCG.Deep understanding and experience with AWS, Snowflake, Python, Airflow, GCP, Big Query, Git or related cloud platforms.Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT.Experience of cloud migration is a plus.Experience in a business-facing analytical role and proven track record of related success.Agile ways of working and large projects phased delivery.Data & Business intelligence domain and software experience is a plus.Expertise in interfacing heterogeneous systems and data sources.Expertise in Snowflake, Informatica IICS, Power BI, and Tableau.
