Tasks KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: The Group Equipment Engineer & Buyer has the authority and responsibility to acquire the new equipment required by the plants.
Evaluating needs, coordinating from the purchase to the start-up of these machines.
Design and coordinate the necessary installations (electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc.)
for the correct functioning of the equipment.
Adapt the investments to the objective of the project with the greatest effectiveness in terms of costs and suitable technological development.
Be informed of market news.
Know the needs of plants.
Advise the plants on the most suitable equipment for their needs.
Collaborate in ROI calculation and prepare Capex dossiers for subsequent approval.
Request quotes and introduce improvements.
Negotiate with machine suppliers.
Manage machine purchase and delivery.
Coordinate with plants and ensure team formations are given.
Guarantee compliance with what is established by contract.
Facility design and coordination of the installation of new facilities.
Depending on the capacity of the plant, carry out the coordination function of the start-up.
Requirements COMPETENCIES: Languages: high English level and fluent in French.
High level of creativity (out of the box thinker).
Skills to influence and work aligned with different plants.
Good communicator and project manager.
Negotiation capacity with suppliers.
Assertive, resilient, and welcomes change.
Must be a take-charge person with a positive, proactive attitude with the ability to perform with minimal supervision.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 4 years of experience.
Experience in capital expenditure management, including negotiation with suppliers and equipment design.
Experience in the design of equipment and/or production lines.
Successful supplier negotiations and contracts/long-term agreement execution experience.
QUALIFICATIONS: Engineer Degree.
Commercial or purchasing Degree or Masters will be an asset.
AutoCAD and Lean Six Sigma will be an asset.
EU national or valid EU resident card.
