In Planeta DeAgostini we are looking for a Sourcing Specialist for the Collectibles Division.
Goal of the position: To develop the products in the pipeline together with product Development, marketing and editorial team, guaranteeing that cost and time targets are respected. To support the Head of Sourcing to take final decision on assignments, preparing tenders and cost analysis.
Responsibilities: Supplier Management:
• Keeping the relationship with existing suppliers at top quality level. Making sure all the current projects are well coordinated and executed on time.
• Ensure that the activity related to the products under his competence is moved forward respecting the objectives of costs and time. Make sure that approvals are happening regularly and that the supplier receives and includes comments during the development phase.
• Strict control of the development calendars.
• Lead the day-to-day communications with suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop the projects following the correct path to get the result required with the maximum quality.
• Search for new suppliers who can offer new technological solutions, product alternatives, and price competitiveness.
• To support Marketing in the initial phase of the product ideas with cost estimations.
• Preparing tenders for major projects, proposing bidders for new projects, running the tender and supporting the Head of Sourcing to take final decision.
• Supporting the Head of Sourcing for negotiations or conducting them him/herself.Product quality and certification:
• Definition of product needs in terms of quality and certification in coordination with the QA & QC manager.Cascading info to Product Editor and PM:
• To be in constant coordination to understand the result required.
• Close cooperation and communication with the PM in order to share cost info from the initial stage of the development process till the end, reducing and managing deviations.
• Updating in the system all the project costs info so that the Procurement Team can issue the orders on time and with the correct information.What we would like to see in your CV? A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience is requiredAdvanced level of English requiredBI ToolsMS ExcelSAP ERP System is a plusExperience working internationally, particularly in China, is preferredSoft Skills: Fact-Based Negotiation: able to negotiate in an international environment, focused on costs, fast delivery and service.Contracting and Sourcing: ability to use a selection of different sourcing tools (direct quote, RFP, or direct negotiation), excellent at fast identification of potential suppliers.Contract Management and Disposal: The ability to follow up contracts to maintain accurate expirations and renewals.Communication/Collaboration: The ability to keep a positive regard for others, being aware of others and managing relationships effectively.The ability to develop good communication among procurement teams and with the business units, to foster effective teamwork within the procurement units, to develop active listening towards suppliers and requesting units, to guarantee confidence and reliability within the team.What do we offer?
