Job Title: Sourcing/Procurement Intern
Location: Barcelona
Contract: 12 months full-time internship (Hybrid)
IMPORTANT: Contract will be done through university (convenio de prácticas) so you shall be enrolled in a university of business school able to enter into this agreement with Galderma
Job Description
The individual in this position will act as an integral resource in executing short term and/or long-term projects across EMEAC (Europe, Middle East, Africa & Canada). These projects will involve day-to-day interaction with the Indirect Procurement Team and key business stakeholders exposing the intern to sourcing practice, supplier communications, data collection and analysis, and project implementation across a cross functional organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Support to manage and lead data gathering and analysis for: supplier spend data, payment terms
- Learn in how to track compliance within the corporate sustainability program (Ecovadis)
- Understand complex financial systems and associated software
- Act as business support for day-to-day business assistance per commodity area
- Support existing projects/systems where compliance is necessary
- Support Country Managers with market research, for new suppliers and/or services
- Support/Conduct end to end competitive processes (RFP, RFQ, RFI) with support and guidance of
the Country Managers
- Support to operate agile and effective commercial processes including but not limited to: present cost analysis, support to negotiate commercial deals, identify key areas of risk, support contracts
execution
- Extensive use of Excel and PowerPoint - pivots, macros, presentations
- Learn the financial reporting, business case preparation
Skills & Qualifications
- Microsoft Office Suite (mainly Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to identify cost-savings projects within the business functions
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to include relationship management style depending on audience (leadership, peers, management, suppliers....)
- Understanding of procurement/sourcing methodology
- PowerBI knowledge ideally
- Fluent in English (other languages a plus)
- Achieved or studying towards Bachelor's Degree
- Quick thinker/learner, proactive, self-motivated and be able to work independently
- Must have good organizational and communication skills
