The role functions as a partnership with the Business Development Manager Team and is not limited to traditional "overlay role" restrictions. The Presales Consultant – Cloud Specialist is expected to take a consistently proactive approach to developing the technical solutions business in the region. This role serves as the technical lead for pre-sales (both professional services and managed services) customer engagements. The Presales Consultant will scope professional services opportunities and assist in the creation and delivery of proposals and Statements of Work (SoW) to customers. The Presales Consultant will maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge across a broad set of foundational technologies as well as at least one specific technology set to serve as the subject matter expert.The rolePractice Summary:Hybrid Cloud Solutions are focused on the delivery of cloud-centric solutions from both the cloud hybrid datacenter and the cloud endpoint perspective. The role requires cross-solution level technical understanding across multiple platforms (primarily Windows & Linux), hybrid cloud, data and analytics solutions, and cloud-native architectures and workloads. Foundational partners such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform serve as foundational technologies within the stack.Roles & ResponsibilitiesSales & ServicesPartner and co-own sales activities at an opportunity level with the field-based account manager (Business Development Manager - BDM) and the Business Development Experts - BDE in Cloud Computing.Analyze & gather business requirements from large & complex client environments and create thorough, accurate technical solution proposals.Partner with BDMs, BDEs, and local sales leadership to drive new business opportunities within the existing regional account base.Prepare cost estimates for professional and managed services by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents.Develop overall solutions including high-level designs, statements of work (SOW), service design, and bills of materials (BOM).Contribute to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying and addressing issues and recommending options.Work with local, regional, and corporate service teams and specialists.General Business Development, Marketing, & PartnershipsAssist and own partnership/alliance functions to assigned partner relationships.Develop relationships and act as liaison with partners on presales activity and account planning
