The Vodafone Business Products are evolving and transforming at a rapid pace. To continue Vodafone's leadership position, and to drive the transformation further, Vodafone Group Technology has identified the need to establish and grow its strength in Digital Services. The VBPS PPE function are building a Next Generation Assurance & Orchestration Platform to support our IoT, UC, Mobile Private Network and Fixed Connectivity Products. As the Cloud Infrastructure Platform Architect you will work with the Vodafone Digital & IT, Business Transformation, local market Teams along with vendors and VF operations teams to create the PPE Platform Strategy and Architecture which will deliver:

Simple, well architected, Cloud solutions

Repeatable frameworks for Infrastructure as Code

You will also work with the Product Development and PPE Development teams to Design Solutions in line with the PPE Platform and Integration roadmap. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS and of the solutions and products available in AWS and how to architect and design on them. Although not explicitly hands on, this role requires someone who is comfortable being hands on, understands Terraform and knows their way around a git repo.

Key Accountabilities:

Infrastructure Platform Architecture Impact assessments e.g. Component selection, new development scope. With the output to include detail on options, benefits, key considerations, and recommendations.

Create Infrastructure solution component and integration designs in line with the PPE Platform and integration strategy e.g. TMF flows and micro service design. These enable the low-level design and then software development to be completed.

Ownership and maintenance of the PPE Infra Platform Strategy and Architecture. Achieved through working with the VF Infrastructure Architecture.

Ensure that the developed solution is fit for purpose, robust, secure, and scalable. To be achieved by ensuring that the development squads understand the shared technical and architectural vision and working in partnership with the Platform Product Owners and development teams.

What you bring:

Knowledge, along with design and deployment experience of AWS Infrastructure to include some of the below:

Terraform

CI/CD pipeline tools

Cloud Computing and Infrastructure on AWS

AWS Well architected principles

Cloud Native services and how to deploy them

FinOps principles

Good knowledge of software Development

Knowledge and understanding of the Enterprise technology market

Experience of Architecture design, implementation and roll out of technology services, preferably gained in an international environment/global context.
