You will be part of the Business Legal Team that advises in a wide range of matters related to the legal requirements of our consumer-facing websites and apps, including displays and content, end-to-end search and booking/purchase processes; terms and conditions for our website, products, promotions, and contests; access to supplier content and inventory; and commercial litigation.
Your focus will be the DACH region; however, you will be part of a small but high-performing international team of lawyers, each working on domestic and global topics.
You will therefore also have multi-regional responsibility and will be pivotal in the provision of quality cross-border legal advice.
What you'll do: Advise on consumer law and its application regarding our products and services, and on the legal requirements of our websites and content.
Draft, update, and maintain terms and conditions of our websites/apps and our products and services.
Review and advise on marketing materials, promotional rules, campaigns, and consumer communications.
Manage strategic litigation (B2B, regulatory, or high-value claims) in conjunction with external counsel.
Manage our brand reputation by reporting and escalating any brand abuse and defamatory content.
Horizon scan for upcoming changes in laws and regulations, industry trends, best practices, and emerging legal issues that may impact the business, and assist in implementation where needed.
Participate as a proactive business partner and trusted legal advisor, communicating legal risk factors and legal concepts clearly to internal stakeholders.
Draft and maintain internal legal team guidance, know-how documents, and precedents, and provide internal training.
About you: A fully qualified lawyer in Germany ("Volljurist/In" with both "Staatsexamina") with excellent academic credentials; fluent in English (working language) and German.
