.Monex Europa SL ('MESL') is a commercial foreign exchange (spot and MiFID 2 exempt forward contracts) provider and authorised by Bank of Spain as a payment services firm to passport its services across the EEA.Key Responsibilities1. General Accounting Tasks:- Record and maintain accurate accounting transactions, including entries in the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.- Assist in maintaining the accuracy of the financial records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.- Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, supplier accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.- Identify discrepancies and ensure that they are resolved in a timely manner.- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.- Collaborate with the accounting manager to ensure accurate and timely reporting for internal and external stakeholders.2. Tax and Regulatory Compliance:- Assist in preparing tax returns and other compliance-related reports (VAT, Corporate Tax, etc.).- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international financial regulations.3. Expense Monitoring:- Track and record expenses, ensuring that they are correctly categorized and in line with the company's budget.- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.4. Audit Support:- Help prepare documents and reports required for internal and external audits.- Collaborate with auditors to ensure all necessary financial information is available and accurate.5. Process Improvement:- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes.- Assist in the implementation of accounting software upgrades and other process automation tools.6.
