.We are delighted to announce that we are looking for a Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive or a candidate with pre-qualification experience to join our motor recoveries team on a permanent contract.This role is within our Recoveries team and is a predominantly Claimant based role. You will have an excellent opportunity to develop your legal skills, knowledge and career within a supportive team and an ambitious firm.What you will doThe role is to work within the Motor Recoveries team. This is predominantly a claimant based role.Depending on workloads in the team the candidate will be asked to undertake:General recoveries tasks consisting of investigatory and litigation work on all fast and multi-track files.Investigating liability, third party, customer and coverage based recoveries.Handling their own case load, including negotiating quantum and settlement of damages with third parties.Obtaining witness statements; contacting relevant parties to obtain salient documents; drafting letters of claim, issuing proceedings, disclosure, instructing Counsel/experts, progressing a file through to Trial.The candidate will:Exercise full compliance with DAC Beachcroft LLP protocols on billing and credit control and demonstrate a high level of financial management in respect of own files.Aim to achieve a minimum budgeted annual target of 1440 chargeable hours per year.Handle confidential information in line with the firms data security protocols.Who you areBe a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive, or have substantial pre-qualification experience.Be interested in and willing to learn legislation and caselaw including the basic principles of contract law, tort and pertaining to Road Traffic Collisions.Good communication skills to liaise with clients, intermediaries and colleagues.Ability to critically look at factual evidence, identify key legal arguments and apply the same.Commitment and enthusiasm with a professional attitude.Commercial awareness, resilience and confidence.Demonstrates alignment with the Firm's Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive).About DAC BeachcroftWe are a leading international legal business with over 2,900 colleagues and a diverse range of capabilities.
