Lumina is looking for a Solar Sales Consultant to support our Residential team in Northern Virginia.
As a Solar Sales Consultant, you will play a key role in educating customers on the benefits of solar energy through consultations with residential customers using both company-provided and self-sourced leads.
In addition to sales responsibilities, you will oversee the customer's solar project from the initial sale to post-installation, ensuring a seamless and satisfactory customer experience.
You will represent Lumina Solar by upholding its high standards of top-rated customer service and project execution.
In this role, you'll get to:
Perform multiple virtual or in-home solar consultations through company-provided leadsDeliver outstanding presentations that create a sense of urgency to buy nowConduct accurate in-home needs assessments and corresponding analyses using state of the art design softwareExplain the technical aspects of solar systems, including installation processes, financing options, and potential savingsPartner with cross-functional teams such as permitting, operations, and installation teams to ensure project progress and timely completionManage customer projects from sale through installation, providing ongoing communication and updates at key milestonesEnsure all project data is accurate and up-to-date within the CRM systemCollaborate with operations teams to verify completion of post-installation tasks, such as final inspections and utility interconnectionsBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction, reviews and referralsGenerate additional leads and revenue through social media, canvassing, word of mouth, referrals and other networking mediumsMaintain, nurture and follow up on pipeline opportunities using our CRMMaintain a clean and clear pipelineResolve concerns and overcome challengesCommunicate and share best practices with other team membersAttend community events, trade shows, and networking events to promote solar products and servicesMaintain ongoing knowledge of local and regional competition; understand market pricing, utility rates, grant and incentive programs, as well as the current mix of products and servicesAttend ongoing training and development activities to improve industry and product knowledge while developing new skillsMeet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas set by the sales managerAttend company sponsored events and outings to bolster relationships with colleaguesAttend Sales Meetings: Actively participate in sales meetings to discuss performance, review targets, share insights on trends, and align on strategies to meet sales goals On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred)Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industryPrior in-home sales experience (highly preferred)Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyAttention to detail and problem-solving skills for managing project workflows and customer needsAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teams and coordinate resources effectivelyCustomer-focused mindset with the ability to manage expectations and deliver a high level of satisfactionSelf-motivation with a strong drive to achieve sales targets and goalsStrong negotiation, presentation, and communication skillsProficiency with CRM software and other sales toolsPosition requires passing a background checkA valid driver's license is required for all positions at Lumina Our perks & benefits:

The company will offer a base compensation of $2,500 per month for the first four months.
