What we look for? We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Automation Expert, with the possibility of working remotely from any Spanish province, to collaborate with one of our main companies, a world leader in its sector.
As a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Automation Expert - Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated testing strategies to ensure the highest quality of our software products.
Your expertise in automation tools and frameworks will drive efficiency in the testing process and support continuous integration and delivery efforts.
Work Location: 100% remote, only Spain. Timetable: Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 18:00. Key Responsibilities: Develop with the team the product testing strategy as the cornerstone of QA in the product that will guide the testing automation backlog and decisions regarding how to implement the automations.Define an optimized TSLC for the product team that ensures the test coverage is completed and tracked properly.Support teams in developing test cases, test plans, and documenting test execution (manual and automatic).Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts for various software products.
Propose best solutions for mock and fake components and systems.
Define and create optimized testing environments for regression, end-to-end, and User Tests Acceptance to ensure best quality whilst boosting performance.Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and integrate automated tests into the build and deployment pipelines.Design and implement best practices for test automation to ensure scalability and maintainability.Conduct code reviews of automated tests to ensure adherence to coding standards and to optimize test execution.Stay current with new testing tools and test strategies and evaluate their potential benefits for the organization and propose adoption for maximizing efficiency of people working in testing.Provide guidance and mentorship to QA team members on automation techniques and best practices.Develop and deliver reports, metrics, and documentation related to test automation efforts and outcomes.Qualifications/Experience: Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years working in Software Development with at least 5 years of experience in quality assurance focused on test automation.Proficient in automation tools, as well as tools for managing test datasets in compliance with regulations.
Tools for managing test suites with automation and/or manual tests.Proficient in different automation frameworks like BDD, Data-Driven Testing Framework, Keyword testing framework, Hybrid testing framework.Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or Ruby.
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) systems like Jenkins, Github actions, GitLab CI, or similar.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle principles.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.Certifications in quality assurance or software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).Experience with performance and security testing.Knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.Tools: Xray Jira plugin for test case management, including API integrations to update test runs automatically including evidences.
HP ALM migration to Xray experience is a plus.Jira, Confluence for product requisite management and workflow.Open-source testing automation technologies, including Selenium, Appium, RestAssured, Cucumber, Junit, Deque, Behave, Playwright among others.Container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.Gen AI-based solution for testing will be a plus.
