Software Engineer, Robotic Perception and Computer Vision, Robotic Sensing and Compute Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Engineer to architect, design, and develop technologies that deliver state of the art vision capabilities across multiple robotic platforms.
As an Engineer on the Sensing and Compute team, you will be part of a passionate and diverse team of engineers who design scalable, robust, and highly performant vision systems across a world-wide fleet of robots. You will have opportunities to collaborate and work with research scientists, applied scientists, data scientists, hardware engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver the next generation of vision sensing to the Amazon portfolio.
Key job responsibilities Architect, design, and implement vision systems for robotic platforms.
Influence the team's strategy and contribute to long-term vision and roadmap.
Work with stakeholders across science and operations teams to iterate on design and implementation.
Maintain high standards by participating in reviews, designing for fault tolerance and operational excellence, and creating mechanisms for continuous improvement.
Prototype and test concepts or features, both through simulation and emulators and with live robotic equipment.
Work directly with customers and partners to test prototypes and incorporate feedback.
Mentor other engineer team members.

Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Experience with implementing 3D Depth estimation algorithms.
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Experience in CUDA programming.
Experience in building or deploying ML depth perception.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
