Responsibilities
The ROC Strategy & Innovation Engineer role responsibility is working with Turbine, Plant and Predictive Engineering teams and VTO development teams on new technologies, to ensure project completion and integration with ROC in product roll outs. Your responsibilities will include:
Assist in the development of solution architectures, methods, and best practices that can scale software solutions across the organization.Advance our software platforms and enhance our tools stack to facilitate innovation and growth.Support the Product Manager with Integration projects of ROC services with the purpose of ensuring ROC can deliver their remote services, before, during and after the implementation.Support on building contract products with clauses description for tenders, addendums, appendix, communication and operational protocols, for ROC services and deliverables.Support Technical and Operational Leads running RCA and following up with supporting areas such as Digital Solutions, Engineering teams, etc. Data engineering and analytics after implementation in the Continuous Improvement forums.Effectively promote a solid team environment through assisting teammates in accomplishing goals as well as mentoring junior technical staff. Visibly support and promote team spirit and cooperation.This role may require travel, working overtime, including working a flexible and variable work schedule as needed to meet business goals. Qualifications 2-3 years of experience developing or deploying software tools, ideally with tangible applications in a corporate context.Valuable but not required to have technical associate degree or equivalent preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree, MSc in a quantitative field such as Software Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or relevant.Strong proficiency in Python or JavaScript and experience with common libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Selenium, PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenAI, TalkingHeads).Experience applying artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, neural engines technology.Knowledgeable in secure coding practices to ensure robust software development.Demonstrated expertise in software architecture and design patterns, with a deep understanding of when and how to apply them effectively.Experience with working within agile frameworks and tools such as JIRA, Confluence.Familiarity with testing libraries and proficiency in version control: GitHub.Understanding of build systems and tools to streamline development processes.Basic experience with Cloud platforms: Azure, Confluent Kafka, Kubernetes, Snowflake, Databricks.Hands-on experience with complex data manipulation, statistical analysis.Knowledgeable in forecasting methods and data visualization to inform business decisions.
