Job Description:Software Engineer (JAVA)Details of the role and how it fits into the team:The candidate will design and develop application code, implement technical solutions, and configure applications in response to business needs. To meet the requirements of the business, the candidate will actively participate in the technical design and architecture of the application or its components, propose appropriate solutions to use, and promote the reusability of existing components while working in a collaborative environment.The candidate should have deep knowledge of systems and applications under their control, manage changes, and collaborate in the technical analysis, implementation, and testing of approved projects. The candidate will also participate in application maintenance tasks.The candidates will work on applications based on Java technologies.Your key responsibilities:Technical design, programming, and testingNew projects, enhancements, and maintenance for a specific set of applicationsEnsure IT Application Life Cycle standards are met in ongoing enhancements and maintenanceAlign application changes with the application strategy and technology roadmapIdentify and manage risks and issues associated with the applicationEnsure maximum operational availability and stabilityPromote cost efficiencyYour skills and experiences:Advanced English and Spanish requiredKnowledge and experience in systems and end-to-end processesExperience in Java analysis and programming is a mustExperience in JEE or other Java frameworks (Java, Spring Boot)Knowledge of markup languages: XML, JSON/GraphQLExperience developing REST servicesExperience in application solutions from a technological perspective, with the ability to understand key aspects of technical platforms and infrastructureSolid knowledge of software engineering, design patterns, and software architectureDevelopment background and demonstrated experience as an analystExperience analyzing existing systems from high-level architecture to application code reviewExperience with technical documentation, architectural diagrams, components, flows, and use casesDemonstrable DevOps-oriented mindsetExperience with testing/QA toolsStrong technical knowledge with the ability to understand complex business processes and workflowsTeamwork capacity with multidisciplinary teamsLeadership and communication skillsHigh commitment and results-focusedAbility to identify risks, resolve conflicts, and plan tasksDemonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesKnowledge of methodologies in applications development (e.g., Agile)What we will offer you:The candidate will be part of the transformation program of the company, focusing on organizational/methodology transformation as well as technical evolution of the systems.
