Position Overview
Software Engineer
The candidate will design and develop application code, implement technical solutions, and configure applications in response to business needs. To meet the requirements of the business, the candidate will actively participate in the technical design and architecture of the application or its components, propose appropriate solutions to use, and promote the re-usability of existing components while working in a collaborative environment.
The candidate should have deep knowledge of systems and applications under their control, manage changes, and collaborate in the technical analysis, implementation, and testing of approved projects. The candidate will also participate in the application maintenance tasks.
The candidates will work on applications based on midrange technology (Java / Angular or other Javascript frameworks) and/or in Cloud technology (Google Cloud Platform).
Your key responsibilities
Technical design, programming, and testing
New projects, enhancements, and maintenance of a set of applications
Ensure IT Application Life Cycle standards are met in ongoing enhancements and maintenance
Align application changes with the application strategy and technology roadmap
Identify and manage risks and issues associated with the application
Ensure maximum operational availability and stability
Promote cost efficiency
Your skills and experiences
English and Spanish advanced required
Knowledge and experience in systems and end-to-end processes
Experience in Java / Angular analysis and programming is a must
Experience in application solutions from a technological perspective
Solid knowledge of software engineering, design patterns, and software architecture
Development background and demonstrated experience as an analyst
Experience on analysis of existing systems from high-level architecture to application code review
Experience with technical documentation, architectural diagrams, components, flows, and use cases
Demonstrable DevOps-oriented mindset
Experience with testing/QA tools
Strong technical knowledge and ability to understand complex business processes and workflows
Teamwork capacity with multidisciplinary teams
Leadership and communication skills
High commitment and results-focused
Ability to identify risks, resolve conflicts, and plan tasks
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Knowledge of methodologies in applications development (e.g., Agile)
