As a software developer for the brake control system, you will ensure the vehicles come to a stop safely and efficiently.
- You will be part of the engineering team for our international locomotive projects in Europe, Asia and North America. Our locomotives can reach speeds of up to 230 km/h and carry loads weighing several thousand metric tons.
- You will find a team, where software and hardware colleagues work hand-in hand.
- You will collect requirements and create software solutions for the drive/brake management.
- You will develop project-specific software modules for brake control units with the help of a graphical development tool (continuous flowchart) and test it both in the laboratory and on the locomotive itself (test centers are available for this in Germany and the Czech Republic).
- You will pick up market requirements and trends and derive from them the technical further development of the traction control system.
- You will with your team on solutions for current design, new customer requirements, improvements and new functions.
- You will always stay focused on the reusability of your results to foster our platform strategy. You will monitor budgets, costs and deadlines for your scope of activities.
