You will lead and grow an engineering team that is responsible for design, development, and operations.
You are a leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and who has a track record of building good teams that deliver results.You will be in charge of the complete software development life-cycle; defining, prioritizing,designing, building, and testing new features.You will get the opportunity to work closely with a great team of software developers.You will understand what it takes to grow and operate Amazon business at our scale.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.Experience in engineering team management.Experience in engineering.Experience in leading the definition and development of multi tier web services.Experience partnering with product and program management teams.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
