About the Role
The Device Software team at eero is looking for an experienced engineer to join our Automation and fleet health team located in Taipei. This team will be collaborating closely with our existing device software team. This role will be responsible for developing our automation infrastructure and test coverage for next-generation hardware to ensure quality of new features and products we launch. Team members collaborate with other dev, QA, and software teams to continuously improve the quality of eero products. This role requires depth in software core competencies, along with a strong interest in developing automation infrastructure, extending test coverage, generating reports, and collaborating with QA and developers to investigate issues. In a single day, you'll design, develop, and optimize test automation infrastructure and coverage that supports our engineering goals. You'll implement new test cases to extend coverage and continuously scale up and improve the automation framework to handle the demands of our expanding fleet. Working closely with QA, you'll set up new test stations for upcoming products, while also developing alerting mechanisms to catch issues as early as possible, ensuring a proactive approach to reliability.

About the TeamWe are a team of 5 FTE engineers (and growing) that are working on automating test cases for our product line. We leverage Python-based automation frameworks which include a homegrown framework and pytest-eero. Our mission is to deliver the reliable automation that enables us to run regression testing in a fast, scalable, and reliable manner to iterate quickly. This team also drives the fleet health charter which involves building scalable monitoring across millions of eeros.
