Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your signalling expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside young and proactive teammates.You'll participate in the application design and development pertaining to train control signalling solutions. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (engineering), develop subsystem requirements and designs based on system-level designs and requirements and much more.You'll specifically take care of implementing the software design, including unit tests to verify that the software is correct and complete, but also coordinating peer reviews of the software development artefacts and taking part in peer reviews requested by others. Rail transportation industry preferred. Good knowledge in software development principles.Good knowledge and experience in software implementation (.NET, Visual Basic, Visual C++, C/C++).Good knowledge of object-oriented design.Experience working with the Windows and Linux operating systems.Experience in agile software development.Experience with software development tools such as .NET, VB6, Visual C++, Eclipse, Git, GitLab, Gerrit, DOORS, Jenkins.Availability to work nightshift and weekends (occasionally). Sometimes travel will be required, especially during the preliminary design and commissioning phase of the project (20-30%).
