Software Backend Developer

Position Objective:

The objective of the position will be to strengthen the backend development team for French insurance business projects.

Functions & Responsibilities:

Analysis, development, and integration of Web applications (J2EE / Web Services) in an agile environment.

Monitoring of developers' tasks.

Develop the design of J2EE programs.

Database modeling (SQL Server / MySQL / Oracle).

Development and construction of complex modules.

Integration of applications by Web Services / REST / SOAP / XML.

Testing and integration plan.

Improvement of continuous integration processes.

Implementation with a high level of quality following best practices.

Support on estimation and completing backlogs.

Communication with teams involved with specific delivery.

Agile Scrum process.

Requirements:

Must Have Requirements:

4 years of experience working on development teams.

Experience on Java / J2EE projects, Jenkins, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server.

Agile methodologies knowledge.

Automated testing experience with Selenium.

JUnit.

Ability to work on teams and influence less senior team members.

Initiative & analytical skills.

Problem-solving ability.

Web services (WSDL, SOAP, XML, REST, Axis, ...).

Teamwork.

Curiosity and target-oriented.

Passion to build good code with high quality and communicate on issues, designs, and technical issues efficiently.

Can-do attitude.

Good communication level in English: B2.
