Joining us means joining a truly global community of more than 70000 people dedicated to solving real-world mobility challenges and achieving international projects with sustainable local impact.JOB TITLEData ArchitectPURPOSE OF THE JOBDefine, develop and deploy project data architecture (data pipeline SW components and their interfaces)ORGANISATION STRUCTUREThe position will be part of the Business Incubator newly created within Transport Information SolutionsMISSION AND PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT- Development of valuable solutions with good feedback from customersRESPONSIBILITIESDefine the architecture for Data Governance, Database Virtualization, Data Quality and Data Security, either using open-source components or commercial solutions.Manage the volume estimation, the modelling, and the design of data models.Manage the technical scope and the functional coherence of the data platform, from the streaming data to data lake and the warehouseDesign and implement the development and release process.Design and manage the execution of test plans and ensure a quality solution is delivered.Define and implement data management plans to ensure data is well collected and aligned with the solution requirementsProvide hands-on expert level assistance for technical issues.Work in different phases: deployment, optimization, and technical audits, especially in the context of high volumes.Being proactive on best practices and bringing feedback on various topicsDefine data management standards for data lakes, data clouds, unstructured data, etc.Provide guidelines for enhanced metadata management, sourcing, transformations and modeling of data assets in a big data environment.Contribute to process improvements and further industrialize data management.Collaborate with internal and external experts in big data, data clouds and Innovative data management services.Collaborate with Data Scientists and Enterprise Architects and contribute to Alstom's data strategy.Propose master data sourcing for data lakes and cloud data solutions.CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSEssential:Educational Requirements: Master or PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.Experience:6 years of software engineering experience including the design of technical environments.You should have minimum 2 years' experience in Big Data frameworks (Hadoop, Kafka, Presto, Spark), data architecture, data design and/or data governance with some years of software engineering experience including the design of technical environments.Strong background in data engineering, Microsoft Azure and open source frameworks
