The OTC Process Senior Accountant is aimed to be a key contributor for this journey, streamlining the current processes through analysis and automation, driving harmonization across the regions, and supporting the implementation of new business models, products, and services.
The OTC Process Senior Accountant belongs to the Global Front Office organization (GFO) based in Madrid, being part of the Global Delivery Organization, within the Global Finance Operations function.
The Global Delivery Organization is driving and delivering finance operations for PTP, OTC, and GAR accounting areas for more than 100 entities and different business units around the world.
What You'll DoIn the role of OTC Process Senior Accountant, the main responsibilities can be divided into four main areas but are not limited to:
Process HarmonizationProcess ImprovementProcess ManagementImplementation of New Businesses and ProductsIn the Process Harmonization area, you will need to understand the current AS IS processes, market specifications, and exceptions.
Challenge the status quo, drive local specifications towards a Global Blue-Print, propose alternatives to overcome local gaps, and move towards the standard and harmonized process for TO BE processes.
Plan and coordinate with relevant stakeholders and implement transformation initiatives.
You need to support and provide ideas and feedback to OTC experts in the different initiatives on OTC scope during the year.
In the area of Process Improvement, you will be supporting FO OTC Country Responsible to detect challenges, pain points, and their root causes, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing them.
You will also actively drive and assess process areas which would benefit from Robotics, Digitalization, and Process Automation.
You will be the SPOC for Intelligent Process Automation.
Additionally, you will identify key metrics to measure process performance and evaluate the impact of the improvements implemented.
You will also prepare formal requirements for IT / Digital finance, securing proper understanding from their side, defining acceptance criteria, and assuring UAT execution and approval.
Regarding Process Management, you will keep track of legislation, trends, latest news, and external benchmarks to ensure that the processes are 'best in class'.
Focus on quality, standardization, and efficiency, ensuring compliance with current global principles, standards, and frameworks.
Maintain strong follow-up of Key controls from internal control and ensure compliance with the company's policies & procedures.
Develop relationships with other teams in and out of the finance function, such as Accounting, Legal, Tax, Manufacturing, Sales, and other stakeholders to provide transparency, consistency, and alignment regarding offer-to-cash processes as well as consistently enhance the overall quality of the process.
Ensure that the proper documentation to understand and execute the different processes is in place, and provide accounting advice within the area of responsibility.
Lastly, in the area of new business and products, you will support the definition of efficient and scalable processes that support the business defined by Central HQ, ensuring that operational requirements are considered from the very beginning.
Collect requirements and translate them to IT / Digital finance in formal requests.
Define and execute testing scenarios in coordination with operations, project teams, and/or business.
Deliver training related to new business/products to the FO Organization to ensure correct understanding and operational excellence once implementation is done.
Who are you?We believe that you have a university degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
You have solid experience in finance and at least 8 years of accounting experience.
You are knowledgeable in finance processes and policies in general and have the ability to fully implement these in day-to-day operations.
You are also knowledgeable in IFRS and local GAAP.
You are an experienced global team player, working effectively in a multinational team with colleagues based in different locations and business functions.
You are fluent in English, both written and verbally.
You are strongly process-oriented, with good analytical skills and a willingness to understand the E2E vision of the different businesses.
Furthermore, we see that you are familiar with Six Sigma / Lean / Process Excellence methodology and have a continuous improvement mindset.
