Smartsheet Innovation Specialist As part of our Professional Services - Global Project Operations team supporting deployment of HR and Finance Systems to large and medium size organizations, the Smartsheet Developer's primary responsibility is to develop solutions using core and premium Smartsheet products to enhance our business processes.
Your primary responsibility is to understand, create, support and enhance business processes by advising business and domain experts on the application of Smartsheet, focusing on formulation of potential solutions to meet our business goals. This could involve :
Creating and enhancing user-friendly project and financial reporting using Smartsheet reports, dashboards and data apps
Configuring new Smartsheet objects such as new Project Management or Client reports
Re-engineering business processes to improve automation and efficiency using workflows and integrations
Understanding new Smartsheet features and advising how best apply them to our existing installation
Capitalizing on Smartsheet partners and APIs e.g. Bridge, Jira, Salesforce, Docusign to integrate and improve data flows across the business
As a member of our Smartsheet change board, evaluate the impact of changes and specify the requirements for changes and additions to our Smartsheet installation
You will also be responsible for
Supporting the Smartsheet Administration team with
day to day Smartsheet support queries that may require escalation
oversight of Smartsheet system administration, access and security
Providing a suite of regular report / dashboard items to management
Supporting the adoption and training of Smartsheet users across the business
You will be supported by a team of project coordinators, our Smartsheet Administration team and our Smartsheet user group
Requirements :
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience
Knowledge, Education, Certification, Skills & Technical Proficiencies
ESSENTIAL
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience Experience of developing Smartsheet solutions for a medium to large sized business
Advanced Excel and strong knowledge of MS Office Suite Understanding of Project Management processes and tools including planning, progress tracking, risk and issue management frameworks, change control frameworks, sign-off procedures
Analytical skills, able to work with project and financial information such as time tracking information or forecasts vs actual reports
Ability to communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience
Fluent English skills (C1 at minimum if not a native speaker)
PREFERRED (but not Essential)
Smartsheet Certified in Core and Premium Apps Understanding of software development lifecycles gained by working in a structured project environment
Work Experience Experience working at a highly technical level with Smartsheet core and premium products
Experience of building integrations to enhance data flows across multiple technologies
Experience working in a virtual team-oriented, collaborative, multinational environment
Excellent spoken and written communication skills
Experience working in busy environments balancing multiple tasks
