Position Overview: The position performs routine assignments of a general professional nature requiring the use and application of fundamental concepts and practices gained from completion of a bachelor's degree or equivalent. The scope of work is of limited size and complexity requiring minimal evaluation, originality, or ingenuity. The position works under immediate supervision. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Standard Duties:Monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of sales transactions against customer and GL accounts for each month.Recommend management of any updates to accounting policies and process narratives related to Accounts Receivable and Revenue.Monitor all customer transactions and shipments of any material.Record all miscellaneous cash transactions in the accounting system.Reconcile various GL accounts.Track and update the warranty for each customer.Calculate any retro amounts for price changes.Investigate any deductions made by customers.Conduct analyses related to accounts as requested by management.Prepare audit schedules relating to customers and assist the auditors in their inquiries.Create Monthly forecast for all customer related general ledger accounts and perform variance analysis as needed.Track Vendor returns and prepare debit and credit memos for Accounts Payable.Track and post the scrap revenue each month.Process Vendor Payments for checks, wires, and ACHs.Perform various other accounting functions in support of month-end close, segregation of duties, etc.Safety and Physical Requirements:All employees are responsible for knowing, understanding, and complying with the safety policies and procedures. Wear PPE when appropriate in designated campus areas. Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. on occasion.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting.Minimum 0-3 years accounting experience, manufacturing environment preferred.SAP experience preferred.Excellent EXCEL & intermediate WORD skills.Basic understanding of Economic Value theory.
