As an Accountant in Global Front Office in Madrid, you are part of the Global Finance Delivery.
Global Finance Delivery is driving and delivering global efficient and harmonized processes in Purchase To Pay (PTP), Order To Cash (OTC), and General Accounting Receivable (GAR) accounting area.
The Global Accounting Centre works with the global judgment-based activities in the Front Office area.
The different teams in the Global Finance Delivery are responsible for reporting and analyzing the actuals.
The processes for this are developed in close cooperation with the Business controllers in the functions as well as with the Group Finance function.
The OTC team at the Global Front Office is now looking for an Accountant.
What You'll Do Secure that we have the right knowledge and competence in place at the right time.Support in the development of ad hoc activities related to reporting, analysis, and metrics (KPI's).Keep track of legislation, trends, latest news, and external benchmarks to ensure that the processes are "best in class".Ensure compliance with current global principles, standards, and frameworks.Provide accounting advice within the area of responsibility.Focus on quality, standardization, and efficiency.Develop leadership skills.Be responsible for the creation, standardization, and efficiency of the Accounts Receivable (AR) area for all the local sales units.Provide guidance to the shared services finance OTC team.Motivate the team to deliver efficient processes, leveraging automation and standardization to deliver excellent transactional OTC accounting services to the business.Propose process improvements to the global process owner and drive implementations within the team.Support the local finance team and be the single point of contact for escalation.Develop relationships with accounting, legal, tax, local markets, and other stakeholders to provide transparency into the order-to-cash processes and consistently enhance the overall quality of the process.Drive process improvements through setting targets for key metrics and implementing more efficient tools.Establish targets and monitor key performance metrics to measure quality and efficiency.Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Do you fit the profile? Knowledgeable of IFRS and local GAAP.Fluent in English both verbally and written; additional language skills are advantageous, especially Swedish.Ability to coach and supervise less experienced colleagues.Great analytical skills and a holistic mindset.Process-oriented, structured, and logical in your approach.Excellent communicator.Comfortable in a dynamic environment under continuous development.Result-driven with the ability to prioritize and deliver on commitments on a tight deadline.Knowledgeable of customer management in financial services, leasing companies, or retail banking.Experience in Workday is meritorious.
