We supply a unique portfolio of atmospheric and process gases, equipment, and services.- An opportunity exists at the Operations Project Group, Europe for the position of Plant Project Manager.What is the roleAs a Project Manager you are a member of Operations Project Group, IG Europe and responsible for executing assigned projects and achieving project goals in support of the business areas.You will provide leadership for the development, execution and control of assigned proposals and projects with the ultimate goal of achieving project completion on time, within budgets, to the satisfaction of the customer, and at acceptable levels of quality without compromising safety or reliability. Project scopes of supply may vary widely, but will generally include equipment supply, engineering design, construction, and start-up services. The projects assigned to this position are typically the largest capital value and most complex that the group executes.Typical project activities include:Technical liaison to the business areaCustomer's single point of contact for communication and resolution of project issuesReview and interpretation of customer RFQsAccountable for the definition of scope of supply and preparation of customer proposalsResource planning, defining and leading a project teamSystem design and specificationEquipment procurement, fabrication, and drawing packagesValue engineering, scope of supply documentationContractor procurement, construction procurement and managementSystem commissioning and start-upProject status and close out reportsAdditional activities will be to:Play a dual role as project development and project execution manager.Execute projects in any European country as required and agreed.Have responsibility for leading a project team in defining and completing an agreed upon scope of supply, performing and/or coordinating resources to complete the design, procurement fabrication, installation, start-up and commissioning tasks.Assume ownership of the project safety, budget, schedule, and technical quality to achieve the project and business objectives established at the start of the project.A typical project team consists of a matrixed organization and may also include external contractors and consultants. Work closely with the business area and line management to develop the opportunity into a well-defined estimate that meets the requirements of the scope of supply.
