Skip/Hook Truck Driver (Malaga and Wattleup locations) Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Skip/Hook Truck Driver to join our team, responsible for delivering and picking up bins in the Metro area, including building sites, as well as commercial and residential locations.
This role requires physical fitness as it involves a high level of activity and physical labor.Key Responsibilities:Operate a skip/hook truck to deliver and pick up bins in various locations including building sites, commercial areas, and residential propertiesPerform frequent in-and-out truck activities to assist with loading and unloading binsEnsure safe and efficient operation of the skip/hook truckConduct routine inspections and maintenance of the vehicleAdhere to all safety protocols and road regulationsMaintain accurate logs of driving hours and services performedCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisorsRequirements:Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)Experience operating a skip/hook truck preferredAbility to handle physical tasks, including frequent truck exits and entriesStrong understanding of road safety regulationsExcellent driving record with no recent traffic violationsGood communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a teamPhysical fitness to handle the demands of the jobPhysical Requirements:Ability to operate heavy machinery for extended periodsComfortable with physical labor, including getting in and out of the truck frequentlyCapable of working in various weather conditionsCompetitive pay ratesOpportunities for overtime with time and a half paySupportive team environmentPotential for career growth and developmentCasual – $36.50 per hour flat.
Full time is dependent on performance – $31-34 per hour + time and a half.
