Position Overview:
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will embody the discipline and culture of SRE within the organization, driving reliability and operational excellence across all teams. You'll work closely with software engineers and system operators, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of automation and reliability. This role is ideal for a skilled communicator with expertise in implementing SRE principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement the SRE discipline across all teams, driving reliability and operational excellence.
Collaborate with software engineering teams to enhance platform reliability and performance through automation and software solutions.
Design and deploy robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively detect and mitigate issues.
Lead the incident management process, including on-call rotations, incident response, and post-mortem analysis.
Drive capacity planning, performance analysis, and instrumentation initiatives.
Continuously improve system reliability and efficiency through automation and cutting-edge technologies.
Foster a culture of reliability and operational excellence through knowledge sharing and best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proficiency in any programming language.
Strong understanding of cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
Solid grasp of networking concepts, protocols, and Unix/Linux systems.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively implement SRE principles across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Kubernetes and Azure.
Familiarity with Prometheus or other metric systems.
Previous exposure to observability platforms.
