Job Description Summary A) Cluster/Country/Site HSE Lead, Associate Director, HSE - Strategic HSE lead in small cluster, country or site. To develop open and trustworthy relationships with authorities and the public, acting as a representative of HSE for the local site/country/region. To establish and maintain HSE management systems that support and assist line managers in complying with local health, safety, and environmental legislation and the Novartis HSE Policies and Global documents.
B) Senior HSE Manager/Specialist - Act as a subject matter expert on individual disciplines (develop standards, governance, and expertise) and give support to the business as needed. To plan, execute & maintain health promotion initiatives at Novartis affiliates worldwide, ensuring successful implementation of key activities through matrix management of HSE, P&O, and communications managers in all major locations worldwide.
C) Head of key HSE discipline/s - Act as a subject matter expert on individual disciplines (develop Strategy, Governance & hold expertise for the topic of specialty) and give support to the business as needed.
D) Environmental Sustainability (ES) Business Partner - Support the implementation of Novartis ES strategy in relation to the Novartis value chain (Scope 3) - Drive engagement with suppliers and lead on specific Scope 3 team initiatives - Liaise with other business functions and support the internal decision-making impacting value-chain environmental impact.

As HSE & BCM Head in our Palafolls site, you will ensure that both legal and Sandoz's requirements are met in the areas of health, safety at the workplace, industrial safety, and environmental protection, being responsible for the implementation of and compliance with the principles and practices of the Sandoz Manufacturing Manual at the site.
Your responsibilities will include:
Get and maintain legal approval to operate within the environmental regulations.Ensure safe workplaces and processes by helping the organization to integrate these responsibilities into areas and line management.Ensure Corporate HSE guidelines are implemented and reviewed.Get and maintain HSE management international systems like ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001.Emergency preparedness according to both internal and external requirements.Administration of BCM systems.IGM coordination in HSE.Ensure compliance with NFCM having appropriate documented internal controls.Ensure timely reporting of HSE key figures within local requirements and Novartis systems.Promote health amongst the workforce according to Novartis policies and systems (Be Healthy program).What you'll bring to the role: University Degree and Master in labor risk prevention according to Spanish legislation.Fluent in Spanish and English.Significant experience in industrial activities, HSE, and good knowledge of EU and Spanish regulations on HSE.Experience overseeing external contractors and third parties involved in construction and maintenance matters.Project management skills.Why Sandoz?
