As a Simulation Software Engineer at AVEVA (Schneider Electric), you will be responsible for creating and/or updating software to ensure the success of customer facing OTS (Operator Training Simulator) Delivery Engineering teams. Execution of technical tasks related to dynamic simulation software including but not limited to:
Implement/update first principles chemical engineering models in C++ within our core product.Create and/or update tools (C#/C++/JavaScript/HTML) that delivery teams use to execute OTS projects.Implement/update industrial communication protocol drivers for our dynamic simulation software (C/C++).What qualifications will make you successful for this role? Degree in Chemical Engineering with programming experience.+3 years of experience in a similar role.Ability to solve complex Chemical and/or Controls Engineering problems in code (C++) is a must.Experience in the field of Dynamic Simulation, specifically Dynamic Simulation of Chemical processes.Knowledge of C / C++ / C# / Java programming languages.Able to step through, understand, debug, and fix (where necessary) existing code.Able to write new programs from scratch, as well as work within a defined framework (such as coding new models for an existing simulation product).Ability to understand and implement APIs in these programming languages is a must.Understanding of inter-process communication protocols is a plus (gRPC, Named Pipes, CORBA, etc.).Familiar with industrial communication protocols (OPC (DA and UA), Modbus, MQTT, etc.).Problem solving skills.What will you get?
