Alight Service Readiness (SR) provides Payroll Services to our clients. During project implementation phase, Data Migration plays an important role in setting up these services.
The Data Migration Support is responsible for executing Data Migration for a payroll country, monitored by the Data Migration Lead.
The support role provides DM templates, reviews the data delivered by the client (data quality assessment), loads it, updates the load tracker to monitor errors, proposes solutions to resolve issues, reconciles the data, and provides validation reports; in short, DM Support assists the DM Lead with all Data Migration activities. Steps and processes are defined in the Local DM Plan, which is adjusted for each country by the DM Lead.
The Data Migration (DM) team consists of different levels; a central Senior DM Lead is accountable for big programs, global strategy, and planning, the DM Lead is responsible for execution, and the DM Support assists with the volumes; where required, we have Data Scientists providing additional services.
DM Support is the entry-level position to SR Data Migration. After 3-6 months of experience in the DM Support role, it is expected to start taking customer-facing activities, workshops, data mapping sessions, and meetings with the client.
DM Associate assists in closing activities effectively and successfully, meeting the KPIs and the Quality Threshold, supporting the DM lead.
After 1 year of experience, a DM Associate can move to a Senior Associate (DM Lead) role based on performance.
Responsibilities
Support the DM Lead and Data Scientist.
Provide DM templates following Alight's global and local standards.
Review data files provided by the client on data quality before loading.
Load data to the testing and production environment and update the load tracker with the results; report to the DM lead on errors, propose a solution, and monitor until everything is reconciled and loaded successfully.
Provide validation reports and assist with the client's data validation until sign-off.
Share experience and suggest improvements on data migration templates and loading.
Qualification
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science or MBA from a reputed college.
2 to 3 years of experience in Data Migration projects.
Willing to work in shifts.
Is a team player.
Can work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Has knowledge of Human Resources, TIME, and Payroll concepts, and of the related Data Migration processes.
Has functional knowledge of HRIS technology, such as Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle, SAP HCM, Peoplesoft, and Payroll (SAP PY, PT, FIORI).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, MS Access or similar tools.
Has a passport and is willing to travel for business purposes.
High level of English is required.
