WHAT YOU'LL DO As the Regional Human Resources Manager, you will provide overarching support and guidance to the Sephora store and Field Leadership teams on all aspects of Human Resources including talent retention, employee relations, policy interpretation, health & safety and performance management. Using your knowledge of provincial labour laws and practices, you will support multiple provinces within the region, and partner closely with the District Managers and Store Directors to elevate their capabilities in HR practices.
You will also play a key role in partnering with the Regional Director to define and identify market-based HR strategies that are aligned with field objectives.
Overall Responsibilities: Implement people strategies related to the Employee Journey that align to the field business initiatives. Establish consistent HR practices across all stores. Identify opportunities to improve/streamline current processes and practices and lead change. Ensure alignment and consistent execution of HR initiatives and support the cascade and roll out of major HR programs. Help field managers to utilize their time most efficiently and effectively as it relates to HR issues. Provide consistent communication with Senior HR Manager, Retail Canada regarding employee relations issues. Travel - proactively and on-demand tour stores in specific markets. Employee Relations: Guide, train, and direct on the interpretation and execution of policies and processes. Ensure legal compliance with applicable provincial Employment Standards legislation and Human Rights. Investigate and resolve all employee relations complaints and concerns. Support Loss Prevention investigations with appropriate HR advice, documentation and counsel. Diagnose performance concerns/opportunities and identify root causes. Develop and implement proactive employee relations strategies. Health and Safety Program: Support and reinforce Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and guidelines. Ensure stores consistently follow the corporate Health and Safety program. Liaise with store leaders and Assistant HR Manager on workers' compensation claims management. HR KPIs: Consistently build/review HR metrics platforms which align to sustainable field initiatives and objectives. Focus on building integrity of key data based on strategic insight and the needs of the differing markets and region. Employee Engagement: Support Sephora's succession planning process. Lead the engagement action planning process. Lead the annual performance appraisal process. Coach and train field leadership team on various HR aspects. Support HR onboarding for District Managers and Store Leadership. Conduct regular HR reviews. WHAT YOU'LL BRING 3-5 years of HR retail leadership experience or combined people management equivalence. College degree in Human Resources required. Fully Bilingual in English and French. Knowledge of Canadian Employment law and sound HR judgment. Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment. A master collaborator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Adaptable, team player and able to lead & influence others. Problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to travel.
