The Company
An International Project Developer and IPP with 20+ years of experience executing onshore wind projects across Europe. Due to the recent announcement of major project contracts and collaborative partnerships, the business is growing rapidly and requires a Senior WTG Procurement Manager to lead on the negotiation of turbine supply agreements across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies for onshore wind farm projects across Europe
Source and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet technical specifications, quality standards, and cost requirements
Lead the negotiation of contracts and terms with WTG suppliers to achieve optimal pricing
Establish and maintain high-level relationships with OEMs
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, project management, and finance teams, to align procurement activities with project requirements
Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to identify new suppliers and innovative procurement solutions
Support Senior Management with procurement reports, forecasts, and analysis
Mentor junior team members
Progression to Regional Procurement Lead in 2-3 years
The Person
The successful candidate will likely have:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
5+ years of experience within WTG procurement, negotiation turbine supply agreements
Professional English speaking and writing ability
In-depth understanding of wind turbine technology, components, and markets
