Senior VFX Artist Location: Remote within Spain Penguin Armada is a brand-new game studio based in Barcelona, founded by a team of passionate industry veterans.Our mission is to craft games that players will cherish for decades.We're currently developing an exciting PC-first, top-down Pv P 3v3 game using Unity.Our vision is to deliver highly accessible, balanced, and rewarding cooperative gameplay experiences.As a VFX Artist at Penguin Armada, you'll play a key role in defining the visual identity of our game and ensuring every effect enhances gameplay and player immersion.Responsibilities Lead the development of the visual style and overall look of in-game VFX.Create, design, and implement effects using both static and animated elements from concept through to final optimization in Unity.Collaborate closely with game designers, programmers, and artists to create a cohesive and engaging game experience.Develop and optimize environmental and gameplay-focused visual effects that enhance player feedback and enjoyment.Ensure all VFX are optimized for performance while maintaining high visual quality.Support the development team with any additional skills that contribute to the game's success.Requirements Significant experience in the gaming industry, with multiple released titles.Proven ability to design and develop environmental and gameplay visual effects.Strong understanding of Unity's VFX tools, including Shader Graph and VFX Graph.A proactive approach, capable of taking ownership and delivering high-quality results independently.Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team.Candidates must be based in Spain, preferably in Barcelona or willing to relocate.Those outside Spain must relocate to Barcelona but can start working remotely before moving.Nice to Have Experience with Unity's scripting tools (C#).Familiarity with creating VFX for UI elements.Why Join Penguin Armada?
