What you will do:
The Role's Key Responsibilities and Tasks
As a Senior Mixed-Methods UX Researcher within the team, you will be in charge of:
Collaborating and effectively communicating with product and business stakeholders to define impactful research topics aligned with strategic goals
Leading quantitative research initiatives to answer complex behavioral questions, using advanced methodologies to analyze user attitudes and behaviors
Championing research operations best practices to streamline processes, enhance visibility, and improve stakeholder alignment
Implementing AI-driven automation and machine learning techniques to optimize data analysis, synthesis, and reporting
Designing and executing end-to-end research projects using various methods, including large-scale surveys, statistical analysis, field studies, and usability testing
Synthesizing insights from multiple data sources (qualitative, quantitative, customer support, social media, etc.) into actionable recommendations that drive product development
Mentoring and supporting product designers and junior researchers in defining research questions, selecting methodologies, and interpreting findings
Continuously optimizing our research toolkit, identifying new tools, methods, and technologies to improve research quality and speed
Advocating for the user voice and fostering UX research understanding across all levels of the organization
Adapting and thriving in a fast-paced environment, managing and prioritizing research activities as we grow and scale
You'll be a great fit if you:
Have a deep understanding of research methodologies and are well-versed in behavioral and consumer psychology principles
Have experience working in user research labs or using experimental design, eye tracking, biometrics, etc.
Bring an entrepreneurial spirit, thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments, and are deeply team-oriented
Excel in managing research workflows, driving process efficiencies, and ensuring data quality across multiple projects
Are an AI and automation enthusiast with experience leveraging AI tools and methods to boost research speed, insights, and outputs
Communicate complex concepts and data in clear, compelling ways for diverse stakeholders, including C-suite audiences
Are motivated to champion UX research, bringing excitement and innovation to the field
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience in data science, user research, applied research, or product research in an e-commerce, digital/mobile, and/or SAAS environment
Alternatively, a Master's degree with 5+ years or a PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience
Advanced degrees in fields like Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science or similar areas focused on mixed-methods research
Technical Skillset:
Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, STATA, SPSS, or equivalent for data analysis
Solid grounding in statistical methods (e.g., regression analysis, ANOVA, hypothesis testing, etc.)
Familiarity with survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Forsta) and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, etc.)
Familiarity with managing and analyzing large datasets in cloud storage platforms like AWS or BigQuery
UX Research Toolkit:
Extensive experience with UX research tools like Lyssna, OptimalWorkshop, TryMata, Dovetail, Glean.ly and beyond
Bonus: Expertise in eye tracking or biometrics, and a passion for understanding the psychology and data behind each research question
Language Requirements:
Fluency in reading, writing, and presenting in English is essential. Additional proficiency in Spanish, German, French, or Italian is a plus
