Your new team We are a medium-sized, globally distributed design team dedicated to the Language Learning sector of Pearson, with its multiple product families and diverse audience.
We work across UX/UI Design, UX Writing, UX Research, and Service Design.
The UX discipline at Pearson follows simple principles: One size does not fit all, it is all about our users.
Keep it simple and consistent, reuse don't reinvent.
Role overview You'll collaborate daily with product managers, researchers, engineers, and QA in an agile environment to deliver user-centric solutions.
You'll take part in the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to testing and implementation ensuring accessible and seamless user experiences.
The key skills required include: Areas of focus Translating product briefs into tangible artefacts: Ability to create user flows, wireframes, prototypes and anything that can help the cross-functional team understand the user perspective.
Strong UI and interaction design skills: Ability to design both static and dynamic components to enhance user engagement and usability.
Responsive design skills: Experience designing responsive web layouts across various screen sizes.
App design experience is a plus.
Knowledge of Design Systems: Familiarity with design systems, with the ability to contribute new components and maintain consistency across products.
Proficiency in Figma: Expert in using Figma for design, prototyping, and design team collaboration.
Ability to translate research into actionable insights: Skilled in interpreting UX research and analytics to inform and refine design solutions.
Adaptability: You know how to put the product and users above your own biases and be open to feedback.
Collaboration: You will work seamlessly with other designers and cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and marketers.
