We are looking for a passionate and innovative Senior User Experience Designer to join our talented UX team. Reporting to the Head of UX Design, you will have the opportunity to lead and influence the design of our financial and retail solutions, driving innovation through your extensive expertise in user-centered design. This position will be based in our office in Madrid, Spain.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the UX design efforts across multiple high-impact projects, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Mentor and guide junior and midweight UX designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Developers, and Business Analysts, to understand project goals and design requirements.
- Drive the end-to-end design process, from initial research and concept development to final implementation, ensuring high-quality design outcomes.
- Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines that ensure consistency and scalability across all Board solutions.
- Conduct and oversee user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Create and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, delivering clear and detailed design specifications.
- Leverage and expand our pattern library by working closely with the UI infrastructure team.
- Communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale, and user-centered design processes effectively to stakeholders.
- Apply usability heuristics and stay current with design best practices to evaluate new and existing features, offering valuable suggestions for improvement.
What We Look For:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work across various platforms and industries.
- Proven leadership experience in UX design, with a track record of leading and mentoring design teams.
- Advanced knowledge of User-Centered iterative design processes and methodologies.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
- Deep understanding of usability principles, best practices, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1 AA).
- Exceptional organisational, analytical, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, along with effective presentation skills.
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous.
