Senior Underwriting Assistant - Casualty Within the AXA Group, AXA XL is the P&C and Specialty Risk division, specialized in managing complex industrial risks. We offer insurance coverage and services for medium-sized companies and multinationals, operating in over 200 countries.

Within the Operations department of AXA XL Iberia, you will join the Middle Office team that aims to provide a high-quality service for our clients, creating and activating insurance coverage on complex risks.

As Senior Underwriting Assistant, you will provide support to Underwriting teams and ensure that the administrative processes for the end-to-end policy lifecycle are run efficiently at a high quality to serve internal and external clients.

You will be responsible for: Contracts handling in an efficient and correct way for new and established Casualty businesses: Checking the conditions of acceptance of the customer's request, interacting with the customer if necessary, by using various available data sources to make the right decision and give the right advice to the broker/client. Following up until contract signing or refusal. Developing draft contracts/amendments that fit with customer needs. Modifying coverage concepts if desired by the client/broker. Preparing contracts which are beyond authority and discussing them with the team leader. Monitoring, planning, and issuing contractual documents (policies, endorsements, and certificates). Supporting Credit Control team in the cash allocation for accounts and the monitoring of outstanding unpaid premiums. Managing information: Preparing and sending weekly reports. Preparing premium flows. Preparing and sending local policies instructions. Controlling Gross and Net portfolio. Controlling data quality. Developing expert-level knowledge regarding our tools for the implementation of Global Programs. Following up new guidelines published for policy administration and Global Programs management. You will report to the Team Lead Casualty - Operations.

We are looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Previous experience in insurance companies in similar roles. Proven experience in managing Global Programs and complex accounts. Fluent in Spanish and English (minimum C1 level CEFR). Bachelor's degree desirable. Demonstrated experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Good team player, capable of self-learning and able to work within a team environment. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills combined with a strong work ethic. Proactive attitude facing challenges. Strong and effective organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task. Ability to adapt and respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation. Strong relationship management with internal clients, vendors, and brokers as well as across the AXA XL and AXA Group enterprise.
