Offer DescriptionApplications are invited by the University of Alicante President to create a pre-shortlist of candidates for an open-ended contractual position as a senior technologist to collaborate with the funded research line "Design of data spaces and open data management". Project: TSI-100121-2024-24 funded by the Spanish Ministry of Digital Transformation and Public Function and by the European Union-Next GenerationEU/PRTR.
The University of Alicante calls for applications to create a pre-shortlist of four candidates to cover a job position in accordance with the following terms and conditions:
First. Number of vacancies and features of the job vacancy Number of job vacancies: four.Job position: senior technologist.Funded line of research: "Design of data spaces and open data management".Work schedule and remuneration:Two of the job positions are full-time, requiring morning and afternoon shifts. The gross monthly remuneration for these roles is €1,800, with two additional annual payments of the same amount. For contracts lasting less than a year, the remuneration will be prorated accordingly.
Two of the positions are part-time, requiring 17.5 hours per week in the mornings. The gross monthly remuneration for these roles is €900, with two additional annual payments of the same amount. For contracts lasting less than a year, the remuneration will be prorated accordingly.
Second. First project in which the successful applicant will collaborate. Name of the project: "HELEADE (Wetlands as generators of environmental and economic value through a territorialised data space)".
Once the duration of this first project or its budget availability has expired, the shortlisted applicants for the four job vacancies may join other projects belonging to the same line of research funded.
Tasks to be carried out: Development of an environmental data space.Application of machine learning techniques to develop use cases in the environmental data space ecosystem.Dissemination of project results through scientific publications.Any other task related to the design of the environmental data space and the development of use cases.Fourth. Requirements for applicants. Hold or be in the process of obtaining a 1st-cycle undergraduate degree, an engineering technology degree, an architectural technology degree or equivalent.Have Spanish nationality or be in one of the situations listed in article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015.Have a good command of any of the official languages of the Valencia Region.Be at least 16 years of age and not be over the maximum age for compulsory retirement.Possess the physical and mental capacities necessary for the performance of the relevant duties.Not be disqualified by final judgement or as a result of having been dismissed for disciplinary reasons to perform duties similar to those of the relevant professional category.Full terms and conditions of this call can be found at the following link (IN SPANISH):
