Offer Description Applications are invited by the University of Alicante President to create a pre-shortlist of candidates for an open-ended contractual position as a Senior Technologist to collaborate with the funded research line "Virtual reality and robotics in the communication and interaction of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder". Reference I-PAS-53/24.
Project PID2023-149706OB-I00 funded by MICIU/AEI /10.13039/501100011033 and by FEDER, UE.
Pursuant to the provisions of the regulations governing calls for applications of research staff to cover contractual positions assigned to research projects, the University of Alicante calls for applications to create a pre-shortlist of candidates to cover a job position in accordance with the following terms and conditions:
First. Number of vacancies and features of the job vacancy
Number of job vacancies: one.
Job position: Senior Technologist.
Funded line of research: "Virtual reality and robotics in the communication and interaction of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder."
Working hours: full commitment in morning/afternoon sessions.
Remuneration: €1,361.01 gross/monthly plus two extra payments of the same amount.
Second. First project in which the successful applicant will collaborate
Name of the project: "Development and implementation of a customised AI-based inclusive learning tool for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder."
Tasks to be carried out:
Implementation of a virtual environment for carrying out learning activities for autistic children.
Communication between the virtual environment and the customised learning system.
Creation of a REST-based web server to store all the information related to the activities.
Adaptation of the activities to different ASD types and curricular levels.
Fourth. Requirements for applicants.
Hold or be in the process of obtaining a 1st-cycle undergraduate degree, an engineering technology degree, or equivalent.
Have Spanish nationality or be in one of the situations listed in article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015.
Have a good command of any of the official languages of the Valencia Region.
Be at least 16 years of age and not be over the maximum age for compulsory retirement.
Possess the physical and mental capacities necessary for the performance of the relevant duties.
