Senior Technical Safety Engineer Ul-880

Wood is looking for a Senior Technical Safety Engineer to join our THSE Team. The role will be based in Madrid.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, able to work independently, and have demonstrable teamwork capabilities.

They will be confident in their own ability to demonstrate Oil & Gas and Petrochemical knowledge to support the effective delivery of Process Safety and Loss Prevention activities in Projects.

Energy transition project experience will be highly valued.

Requirements: BSc. degree in Chemical Engineering. Alternatively, BSc. Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 10 years' experience working in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Energy transition industry
Minimum of 5 years' working experience as a Technical Safety Engineer
Master in any safety studies (Fire Fighting, Fire & Gas, HAZOP certification, NFPA certification will be an advantage)
Proven experience in Oil & Gas projects
Experience in Energy Transition technologies (Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, Green Methanol, Bio-refineries, co-processing of vegetable oils) will be positively valued
Experience acting as Owner's engineering (PMC) will be highly valued
Experience conducting Process Hazard Analysis studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL as a facilitator will be positively valued
Knowledge of THSE software such as Pipenet, PHAST, PHA works, Flaresim, or equivalent will be an advantage
A self-driven and meticulous individual with a strong ability to multi-task
Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful, and proactive
Excellent command of Spanish (Native will be an advantage) and English languages
Holding a valid permit to live and work in Spain is required
